In Spring 2005, the Government Printing Office (GPO) announced a pilot project to use a private LOCKSS network to evolve the Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP) and the International Exchange Service (IES) from print to online. More than 20 participating libraries have a substantial voice in determining the future of these programs.
