The partner institutions of the MetaArchive Project are developing a cooperative for the preservation of at-risk digital content (e.g. online exhibitions, digital masters, cultural history Web displays) on the culture and history of the American South. Using a private LOCKSS network as the technology infrastructure, the group is defining work flow processes and best practices for cooperative preservation. The Project is part of the National Digital Information Infrastructure and Preservation Program (NDIIPP), supported by the Library of Congress.
