Bringing Up A New LOCKSS Box

If your institution is already running LOCKSS boxes (e.g. in the global LOCKSS network, or in another Private LOCKSS Network other than usdocspln), these other LOCKSS boxes are to be kept running separately -- do not re-purpose an existing LOCKSS box.
US DOCS PLN Configuration
During the LOCKSS daemon configuration process there are two parameters that are specific to the USDOCS PLN. These are:
- Configuration URL. http://props.lockss.org:8001/usdocspln/lockss.xml
- Preservation group(s). usdocspln
When you are finished configuring the LOCKSS daemon, please forward the IP address to lockss-support@lockss.org, stating that the machine is in the 'usdocspln' PLN. This notification step is required so that we can add the IP address to an access control list, which will enable your LOCKSS box to finish coming online.
